What do I do if the token is sold out on FANtium?

After athlete tokens sell out during the initial sale on the FANtium platform, two options exist for finding and buying the athlete tokens.

Option 1: Via the FANtium application

• Visit your FANtium account and navigate to the “Explore” page

• Then click “View Athlete” to see the tokens of the athlete.

• Select which tier of token you want to buy and click “Buy on OpenSea”.

• This will redirect you to the token’s collection on OpenSea where you can purchase the athlete’s token by following the steps on OpenSea (see Option 2 for more details).

Option 2: Through a secondary marketplace

Note: We show this with the example of OpenSea, the best known and most used marketplace for tokens but you can also check and purchase athlete tokens on other marketplaces.

• Visit OpenSea.io and search for the FANtium collection (https://opensea.io/collection/fantium) or the athlete’s name. When doing so, it is important that you pay attention to the official FANtium collection page. You can see if a collection is verified or not if it has a blue verified badge next to its name.

• Once you are on the official FANtium collection page, you need to log in to OpenSea by clicking on the "Wallet" icon in the upper right corner.

• Select the wallet you want to use to log in to OpenSea.

• Then follow the login instructions on OpenSea to connect your wallet.

• Once logged in, select the athlete token you wish to purchase and add the token to your shopping cart.

• Finally follow the instructions on OpenSea to finish your athlete token purchase.

What is OpenSea?

OpenSea is the largest and most well-known secondary marketplace for tokens. Consider OpenSea, the Ebay for tokens.

Do I need my FANtium wallet to purchase on OpenSea?

In principle, no. However, if you want to see your newly purchased token in the FANtium dashboard, you need to make sure that the wallet you used to purchase the token on OpenSea is also connected to the FANtium platform.

As a second alternative you can also transfer the token from the OpenSea wallet into your FANtium wallet. For that you will need the address of the FANtium wallet, which you can find by clicking on the “Profile” button on the FANtium plattform and selecting “Wallet”. Once you are on the “Wallet” page, you will see three dots next to your wallet. Click on these dots and select “Copy address” to copy the address of the respective wallet.

I have purchased a token on a secondary market - how can I see it in my FANtium account?

You need to make sure that your athlete token is in a wallet that is connected to FANtium. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the token in your FANtium account. For this you can either make the initial purchase on the secondary marketplace with a wallet that is already connected to the FANtium platform.

Alternatively, you can transfer the token into a wallet that is already connected with the FANtium platform. You can find the address of your FANtium wallet by clicking on the “Profile” button on the FANtium platform and selecting “Wallet”. Once you are on the “Wallet” page, you will see three dots next to your wallet. Click on these dots and select “Copy address” to copy the address of the respective wallet.
