What is a Wallet?

A cryptocurrency wallet is an application that functions as a wallet for your cryptocurrency. It is called a wallet because it is used similarly to a wallet you put cash and cards in. Instead of holding these physical items, it stores the passkeys you use to sign for your cryptocurrency transactions and provides the interface that lets you access your crypto.

Do I need a wallet before signing into FANtium?

No, you do not. If you sign in using eMail and password, later you can choose to connect an existing wallet or have automatically a wallet be generated for you. You can then use this wallet to do all your transactions and also store the tokens and cryptocurrency. It is important to highlight that all wallets that are generated on Fantium are created by Privy and not by FANtium.

What is Privy?

Privy is a wallet provider that enables interaction with Web 3.0 applications and the storage of decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges and NFT. It serves as the mainstream gateway for users to access decentralized ecosystems by creating wallets connected to their account credentials.

Privy creates the wallet and ensures that only you have access via your social account credentials. Neither Privy nor FANtium have access to your wallet at any time.

Where can I find my wallet address?

You will be able to find your wallet address by clicking on the “Profile” in the top right corner. Select “Wallet”. On the next screen you will see all the wallets that you have connected to the FANtium platform. Click on the three dots at the right side of the wallet. There you can click “Copy address”. Now you have copied your wallet address and can paste it wherever you need to.
