# Migration Overview

FANtium’s mission is to democratize sports investing by letting FANs directly support up-and-coming athletes. Our slogan “Let us rise” embodies this vision of empowering FANs to join talented athletes on the journey to become world class. From the start, the web3 space has been pivotal for funding the first athletes on our platform and attracting investment capital.

However, we recognized the complexity web3 adds for users, especially for newcomers unfamiliar with wallets. This is especially important as we are embarking on a journey to **launch clubs soon**, which will attract many users unfamiliar with wallets. Therefore, we need to **optimize the user experience and reduce this complexity to ensure a seamless onboarding and engagement process.**

To prepare for the next tens of thousands of FANs to join the platform, the FANtium team has worked hard to simplify the account setup and management process. We’re excited to announce the launch of our new account system!

**What’s New?** \
Users can now simply log in with email and password, similar to user journeys they are used to from other platforms. We’ve partnered with Auth0, the leading authentication provider, to securely manage user credentials. Web3 natives will still be able to connect their MetaMask wallet. However, users without prior web3 experience will have a wallet generated through our integration partner Privy, the leading hosted self-custody solution used by OpenSea, Zora, and others.
